Overview: May of 2017, Carolina Wireless Broadband was a fresh start-up WISP looking to connect more people and gain more customers. Being new to the industry, they were encountering several obstacles which can often be crippling to new businesses.
Challenge: Carolina Wireless Broadband, being a new business and a new WISP was having trouble setting up their credit-card processing for their soon-to-be WISP customers. Moreover, they were experiencing troubles configuring their Mikrotik router for successful connections. They faced a problem that was two-fold: a business process issue and a networking infrastructure issue.
Requirements: Carolina Wireless Broadband knew they had to find a solution to their credit card processing problem as well as their networking problems with the router and other WISP setup issues. One call with IPpay was all he needed to solve both problems in an efficient way, while saving them time and money.
Solution: The solution was found when the initial contact at IPpay, Sales Manager Mike Smith, called Carolina Wireless Broadband CEO Richard Byrd. After listening to the issues facing the company, Mike suggested a solution that was two-fold: IPpay would help the new WISP navigate the hurdles of recurring payments and card-not-present transactions as well as all other credit card processing needs, and CTIconnect would assist with the router configuration, network and infrastructure management, and hardware upgrades necessary for the company to grow.
Results: After many unsuccessful calls and emails to many different companies, Byrd and Carolina Wireless could not get a straight answer, a workable solution, or a personal touch from anyone they spoke to. One call with IPpay was enough to rework his credit card processing to save the company money, and configure and streamline his hardware so that he could get his WISP up and running efficiently faster than expected.
